The 7 Skin Method with Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin

In 2017, the "7 Skin Method" went viral as the Korean beauty started getting more recognition in the west. The "7 Skin Method" is to apply your toner or watery essence to your face multiple times (up to seven times) to have hydrated and dewy skin. It is called 7 Skin Method since in Korea toners are usually called "skins".
I have been personally following the 7 skin method for a few years now and I highly recommend it for anyone struggling with dry skin as it will give your skin the hydration boost it needs especially during wintertime.

For this year's winter season, I used the Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin for my 7 Skin Method as it claims that it can be applied once as a toner that quickly penetrates the skin and twice or more as an ampoule with a deep nourishing effect which is just perfect for the harsh weather in winter.

The Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin is formulated with Gi-ney™ Complex, an Innisfree patent formula that combines both Jeju canola honey and Jeju ginger. This formula helps protect the skin from the damage due to external factors and strengthen the skin barrier. This toner helps also to relieve all the skin problems related to dryness by delivering moisture and nutrition to the skin.

After cleansing, I would pour a coin-sized amount in my clean hands and apply it to my face and neck. I usually apply  5 to 7 layers day and night and pat my skin for better absorption to maintain the hydration in my skin.
When it's winter, my skin usually gets very dry and flaky so I was pleasantly surprised by this product. This toner's viscosity is high as it is a cross between a toner and an ampoule which makes it very hydrating and perfect for me during the winter. The fragrance is very mild and it reminds me of honey and ginger tea (obviously!).

I wouldn't use it on its own as it is not enough so I like to layer a serum on top and lock it all in with a good moisturizer. I believe that this Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin upgraded my skincare routine this winter.

Disclaimer: Not recommended for anyone with oily skin or living in a hot and humid environment.
