NEOGEN X JOAN KIM Collab: Vita Duo Cream Joan Day Joan Night

When I first started getting into skincare, Joan Kim was one of my go-to skinfluencer for recommendations and product reviews. In 2018, Joan teamed up with Neogen to create a day and night cream that I was very impatient to get my hand on it. However, It took me some time before I could buy it but let me tell you that the wait was worth it!

Neogen Vita Duo Joan Day Joan Night cream comes in a cute mint green jar with two separate 50g containers for both the night and day cream. My favorite part was the spatula as you don’t need to use your fingers to scoop the cream. (Hygiene Freak Alert!)

Joan Day Vita Cream is a morning moisturizing cream that claims it has great soothing and brightening effects on the skin as it contains green tea and vitamin C. It is also described as the perfect prep for makeup.

As the last part of my morning routine, I would apply a coin-sized amount into my face and massage it slightly for better absorption. This tea-green moisturizer has a cream-cheese-like texture that one would believe to be heavy on the skin but surprisingly it is easily absorbed and very moisturizing. After few weeks of continuous use, I noticed that my skin looked a lot brighter than before.

Joan Night Vita Cream is a night cream that claims it has the same benefits as a sleeping cream and that it can soothe and strengthen the skin thanks to ingredients like lavender oil and vitamin E.

After my serum, I apply a generous amount to my face and neck before going to bed. This lilac cream has a light gel formula that absorbs easily and a relaxing lavender smell that helped me sleep better. However, for someone with dry skin, I found it lacking in the moisturizing department as it felt a little bit too light on my skin.

TBH, I wouldn’t repurchase the Duo Cream ever again since Neogen came out with a separate version of both creams in 2021 YAAAY!

Disclaimer: The Joan Night Vita Cream is not recommend if your skin reacts badly to essential oils.

I will leave you with the ingredients list until next time.

Have a great skin day everyone!
